Galvalume 55: Zinc plating with 55% aluminum added.
Although the film thickness is thin, it has about 20 times the corrosion resistance of molten Zn plating.
Galvalume 55 refers to a 55% Al-Zn coating that has 55% aluminum added to improve the corrosion resistance of hot-dip galvanized (zinc-coated) products. It exhibits extremely excellent corrosion resistance. The reason for this is due to the high corrosion resistance of the composite corrosion products of aluminum and zinc, as well as the sacrificial corrosion protection effect of zinc, which dissolves and protects iron from rust. It has 5 to 20 times the corrosion resistance of molten zinc coatings. It is optimal for fastening materials exposed to salt damage, de-icing agents, and acid rain in applications such as roads, civil engineering, construction, railways, electricity, telecommunications, and chemical plants.
